What is Enlighten SR?
Cutera Enlighten SR is a dual wavelength picosecond laser (532nm and 1064nm). Its ultra short pulses break up pigment and stimulate collagen with very little heat to the surrounding skin, so it suits all skin tones, including darker skin.
What can it treat at MediGlow?
PICO Genesis for pigmentation, uneven tone and dullness. PICO Genesis FX for acne scarring, pores and texture. Our Melasma Protocol, a prescriber led combined treatment. And tattoo removal for all ink colours and skin tones.
Do I need a consultation?
Yes. Every treatment starts with a consultation and patch test (£50). As pharmacist independent prescribers, we check your skin type, medical history and goals, then build your personalised plan.
How do I get the 20% off?
Book your consultation and patch test. Once we've confirmed your treatment plan, 20% is taken off the current price of your course at the clinic.
Can it treat melasma?
Yes, with care. Melasma is hormone driven and can get worse with heat based treatments. We combine low fluence pico laser with prescription topicals and strict SPF for safer, longer lasting results than laser alone.
Can it treat under eye dark circles?
If your dark circles are caused by pigment, yes. If they're caused by shadowing or volume loss, other treatments work better. We'll tell you at your consultation.
Can it treat dark underarms or bikini line?
Yes. Friction and post inflammatory pigmentation respond well. We pair it with prescription topicals and skincare to stop it coming back.
Can you remove tattoos?
Yes. 1064nm treats black and dark inks on all skin tones, 532nm treats reds and oranges. Greens and blues may need extra sessions.
How many sessions will I need?
PICO Genesis: 3 to 6 sessions, 4 weeks apart. PICO Genesis FX: 3 to 4 sessions, 4 to 6 weeks apart. Tattoo removal: usually 6 to 10+ sessions. Melasma: ongoing prescriber led care. Your plan is confirmed at consultation.
Is there downtime?
PICO Genesis has no downtime. PICO Genesis FX can leave mild redness for 24 to 48 hours.
How long do I have to use my course?
Courses of 3 within 12 months, courses of 5 within 18 months. Courses are pre paid.
